Turntable Project – Part 1
As part of my engineering background and love of music I have built a few vinyl turntables over previous years, all with some success. I have longed to build a top tier vinyl machine and to this end I’ve started the design process for a new record player.
The 3-legged design takes its inspiration from manufacturers such as VPI and ClearAudio to produce a robust yet forgiving design that looks great and is functional. At the same time I’ll take into consideration the propertied of the materials used to ensure resonance and vibration are well below levels that affect playback.
